Est. in 1961, the Karumandi Factory is set in the foothills of Mount Kenya, an extinct volcano with rich & fertile soils. Smallholdings averaging 1,750 masl supply their cherries to the wet mill. The beans are separated by density using water, dry fermented for 24 hours, resoaked and separated again, then sun dried for 11 - 14 days and graded by size. Our light roast brings out tonnes of rhubarb & that typical savoury-sweet acidity.
