Kenya, Gakuyu-ini AA

Region: Central
Producer: Thirikwa Farmers Cooperative Society
Process: Washed
Variety: SL28, SL34
Notes: Rhubarb, blood orange, juniper, juicy

With an average altitude of 1,650 masl the soil here is rich & fertile from the ash of the extinct volcano. The coffee is dry fermented for 24hrs, washed, sorted & soaked in cold water for further 24hrs, a process which develops the amino acids within the beans. The parchment is then sundried on raised beds for 11 -14 days. This is our first Kenya of the season & it’s bursting with fruit, a juicy, mouthwatering, fragrant cup.
