Guji is one of the most famous coffee growing regions in the world, loved for its complex and floral cup profiles, yet there’s still so much more diversity within the region itself which often goes unnoticed. This lot was produced by more than 700 smallholder farmers, all living and producing in the Raro Boda neighbourhood or ‘kebele’ in the Uraga district in Guji. All coffee is grown at 2300 masl, handpicked when ripe and delivered to a SNAP Washing Station where they are traditionally washed with fresh water from the nearby Ganale Dorya river. SNAP is an exporter of Ethiopian coffee who partner with local producers to make a better living through coffee. Washing stations can make a difference for farmers who struggle to get the best possible result out of their coffee, because they lack the space or the means for optimal processing and it increases the chance of international export.
This coffee was sourced through our importing partner Ally Coffee.
