Colombia, La Guayacana, Washed
EUR
La Guayacana lies in Buesaco, Nariño, on the western slopes of the Cordillera in the southernmost part of Colombia near the Ecuadorian border. The region’s high altitudes and volcanic soil provide excellent circumstances for coffee cultivation, and Nariño in particular produces some of the world’s most wanted coffees. Producers maintain traditional processing methods and attach great importance to socially and ecologically responsible expertise, as coffee growing makes up a lot of the region’s income. This Caturra was produced at 2200 masl, by Sebastian Pinzon. Cherries were handpicked, washed and sun-dried at La Guayacana. The MOK team had the privilege of meeting Sebastian Pinzon through our roaster David who works closely with producers in Colombia as a green coffee expert and salesperson.
This coffee was sourced through our importing partner Finca.
