
Espresso A, Ethiopia, Tessema Edima
Last time we are releasing this washed lot from Tessema Edima. Our collaboration started when Tessema participated in the Operation Cherry Red auction, an auction/competition where our importer Trabocca searched for the 32 best lots of Ethiopia. Tessema’s coffee was our absolute favourite lot and we bought just a small lot. Now, after a partnership of 8 consecutive years (!) and having it on shelves almost year-round, the collaboration comes to an end. 2024 was the last year that the farm was owned by Mr. Tessema Edima himself and the premises have now been sold to family members who will continue to produce excellent coffee. This lot is a grade 1, 100 % Kurume variety that we release as espresso A to celebrate and conclude our long-lasting relationship with Mr. Tessema Edima. It is grown in prime coffee land Yirgacheffe, in shade and semi-natural wild habitat.

To discover these flavour profiles we recommend to use soft mineral water with a low HCO3 (bicarbonate) & aim for total hardness of less than 140 mg/l.
